Research and Development is people oriented. NEDDI has been creating awareness and advocating a paradigm shift in the perception of design by the public (e.g. government) or by private concerns (e.g. entrepreneurs). Two of the avenues through which we practise what we preach are:

(i) NEDDI Annual One-Day Workshop - The purpose of the workshop, which draws participants from the academia, government establishments and the organised private sector, is to educate participants on the importance and relevance of engineering design. The Institute also cashes in on this opportunity to showcase her effort in product design and development.

(ii) The NEDDI Newsletter - This is an eight-page quarterly publication that parades issues of science, technology, engineering and innovation in NEDDI, NASENI and the nation in general.

(iii) In-House Presentation - There is in-house lecture/paper presentations that serves as a refresher course for the entire staff and the interested public. This cuts across all the departments. It is done in each of the technical departments on weekly basis while it is done monthly in the general house. The general public are always invited to these presentations.
